During his life, Morgan Cline invested in a number of projects in Appanoose County to preserve historic buildings, deliver needed services, and attract economic growth. The Morgan E. Cline Foundation is pleased to continue operating The Continental Hotel as part of its charitable programing. The Continental Hotel and Lucile's

The Continental Hotel is southern Iowa’s premier boutique hotel and traces its history to 1866. Its restaurant, Lucile's, was recognized for having one of Iowa's Top 10 burgers in 2024.

The Majestic Theater

The Morgan E. Cline Foundation sold The Majestic Theater in March 2025. We are excited about the new owner's plans to restore vibrancy to the Majestic Theater through movies, events, and social activities.
